This week we are featuring our naval / ocean / sea mat. This is one of our most versatile mats and can be used for most any naval wargame. A friend of mine uses one to run quick convention games so he can travel light. He just takes his mat, a few islands, and about 6-8 ACW ironclads and his is ready to roll!
I’m sure you have your own ideas on how to use this mat, but here are some ideas from my local gaming group: Ancient galleys, Age of Sail (wooden ships and iron men), Jutland, Dystopian Wars, Harpoon, SeeKrieg, ACW Ironclads, etc.

This mat also works great for x-wing games fought in the atmosphere of “Cloud City” type planets.
