Cigar Box Battle and Osprey Publishing are proud to announce the release of three new terrain mats! These are Gettysburg mats designed to fight out all of the “Gettysburg – the first day” scenarios in the new “Across A Deadly Field” scenario book “The War in the East”. These mats are from  the artwork in the scenario book and were designed by Todd Davis and the author, John Hill.

The mats are printed on fleece and are of the same top quality that Cigar Box Battle produce all of their mats on. These mats are incredibly detailed and are part of our new premier “Signature Series” line. They come with all of the terrain printed on them, including – roads, woods, streams, fences, buildings, etc. All you have to do with these mats is set up the figures and play!

The first mat, pictured below, is our “small-scale” 6mm Gettysburg mat (#132).  It features the entire first day of Gettysburg on one mat. The mat measures 56″ x 76″, but the illustrated playing area is 45″ x 76″. We recommend 6mm – 10mm scale figures with this mat. With this one you can fight out all of the first day scenarios from the “War in the East” scenario book! Can you capture Seminary Ridge as the Confederates or hold Barlow’s Knoll as the Union? Assemble you ACW troops and march to the sound of the guns!

The mat measures 56″ x 76″ and plays best with 10mm, 15mm or 20mm figures. Just like the 6mm mat, all of the terrain features of the battle are printed on the mat so that you can be gaming quickly!

Some of the excellent close up detail of the mat. The ADF signature Series mats have illustrated terrain feature such as fences, buildings, roads, orchards, etc. You can layer as much, or as little 3D terrain over the printed mats as you like.
